The RCSIsmj staff take great pleasure in announcing our inaugural Journal Club meeting on November 27, 2012 at 6pm. The article to be discussed is entitled “Statin use and reduced cancer-related mortality” (NEJM 8 Nov 12). Professor Ronan Conroy will be in attendance to lead student discussion. The event will be held in Tutorial Room 2/3 in the College.

We would like to extend an invitation to all students regardless of experience and background. After the discussion session, the RCSIsmj executive staff will give a brief second presentation on presenting at Journal Club. We encourage all to attend, especially anyone who would be interested in leading a Journal Club meeting in the future. The RCSIsmj staff will also be available to field any general questions related to our journal and events.
